Amazing, Straight-from-the-Orange Taste.

  • Which medications interact adversely with grapefruit?
  • In 1995, researchers discovered that certain medications may adversely interact with grapefruit juice. The American Pharmaceutical Association recommends that all patients discuss their grapefruit juice consumption with a doctor or pharmacist. In most cases, a non-interacting drug can be substituted so that the patient can still enjoy grapefruit juice.
  • Does orange juice interact adversely with medication?
  • Orange juice does not react with drugs the same way grapefruit juice does, so to the best of our knowledge there should not be a problem. If you have concerns about a particular medication, it is best to discuss this with your physician or pharmacist.
  • Does pasteurization affect the vitamins and nutrients?
  • Pasteurization does not destroy the nutrients in juice. Pasteurization protects the quality and taste of the juice. The vitamin and nutrient contents shown on the package reflect the levels you can expect at the expiration date.
  • Why is there less vitamin C per serving in smaller cartons than in larger ones?
  • Over time, vitamin C degrades in the presence of oxygen. Although all of our packages are designed to minimize exposure to oxygen and maximize the retention of vitamins, smaller cartons allow quicker oxidation of the product, so the vitamin C content in small packages is less than the level in 64-ounce cartons.
  • What fruit exchange does the juice equal?
  • An eight-ounce glass of 100% juice equals one "diabetic fruit exchange." This should not be confused with the USDA recommendations for the number of servings of fruit that consumers should consume daily. Under their recommendations, 4 ounces of 100% juice equals one serving. The USDA recommends that a majority of daily fruit servings be from whole fruit.
